Rutile or Anatase?
For plastic masterbatch, both grades can have their applications. However, many formulations may benefit from the optical performance and durability of Rutile TiO₂.
The right choice depends on the polymer, formulation and processing conditions.
China remains an important sourcing market
China’s TiO₂ exports reached approximately 1.07 million tons in H1 2026, up around 16.6% year-on-year.
For global buyers, Chinese suppliers are becoming an increasingly important sourcing option.

The recovery may not be universal, but masterbatch and plastics remain markets worth watching.
For buyers, the key question is not:
“Which TiO₂ is cheapest?”
but:
“Which TiO₂ gives the best overall formulation cost and performance?”
